glaad’s network responsibility index

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, a media watch dog for LGBTQ issues, has released its annual Network Responsibility Index. Of the five major networks (Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, and the CW) and the ten largest cable networks (A&E, HBO, FX, Lifetime, SyFy/SciFi, MTV, Showtime, TBS, TNT, and USA), none received an “Excellent” rating. HBO, the CW, and ABC all received “Good” ratings; NBC, CBS, A&E, SyFy/SciFi, and TBS all received “Failing” grades. Fox jumped the highest, from last place to third, while CBS dropped to the bottom of the rankings.
