cincinnati in the great nationwide kiss-in

5 08 2009

Impact Cincinnati is spearheading the local piece of the Great Nationwide Kiss-in, a national movement that arose out of three separate incidences (San Antonio, Salt Lake City, and El Paso) where same-sex couples were harassed or arrested for public displays of affection. The national Facebook site, which is being sponsored by, lists 50 cities and over 3,000 individuals participating.

With the assistance of Cincinnati’s Guerrilla Queer Bar, Impact Cincinnati will be hosting our local event on Fountain Square on Saturday, August 15th, from 2:00pm-3:00pm. They are assuring all interested participants that, even if you don’t bring someone to kiss, there will be plenty of single folks to share in the activism.

Check out DYM-SUM for the amazing promotional videos: the first released on 7/27/09 and the second released on 8/3/09.
